한국과 싱가포르는 부족한 자원과 어려운 지정학적 여건에도 불구하고, 혁신과 개방을 통해 놀라운 성장을 이뤄낸 아시아 대표 국가입니다. 이처럼 닮은 길을 걸어온 두 나라가 서로를 이해하며 공동 번영의 길을 도모할 수 있어 기쁘게 생각합니다.

특별히 양국 수교 50주년을 맞는 올해, 로렌스 웡 싱가포르 총리와 직접 만나 정상회담을 하게 되어 더욱 뜻깊습니다.

앞으로 정치‧안보, 경제, 첨단기술, 인적교류, 녹색경제와 에너지전환을 비롯한 여러 분야에서 '전략적 동반자 관계'로 함께 협력할 계획입니다. 온라인 스캠, 사이버 위협과 같은 초국가 범죄 대응을 위한 공조도 한층 강화하기로 했습니다.

제주산 쇠고기와 돼지고기를 싱가포르에 최초 수출하기로 합의하며 양국 간 식품 교류의 문을 열었습니다. 더불어 디지털, 녹색디지털해운, 문화체육, 인사행정 등 다양한 MOU 체결로 양국 협력의 폭을 크게 확대했습니다.

대한민국과 싱가포르가 함께 만들어가는 혁신과 지속 가능한 연대가 아시아를 넘어 전 세계 미래발전에도 중대한 역할을 하리라 확신합니다.

이로써 모든 APEC 정상회의 일정을 마무리했습니다.

무엇보다 이번 회의가 성공적으로 개최될 수 있도록 응원해 주신 우리 국민 여러분께 깊은 감사를 전합니다. 보여주신 성숙한 시민의식과 협조 덕에 대한민국이 국제사회에서 더욱 신뢰받는 국가로 자리매김할 수 있었습니다.

Korea and Singapore are leading Asian nations that have achieved remarkable growth through innovation and openness despite limited natural resources and challenging geopolitical circumstances. I am pleased that the two countries, which have walked such similar paths, continue to understand each other and pursue a future of shared prosperity.

​It was especially meaningful to meet with Prime Minister Lawrence Wong of Singapore and hold a summit this year, as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

Going forward, the two countries will strengthen cooperation as 'strategic partners' across a wide range of fields, including political affairs, security, economics, advanced technology, people-to-people exchanges, the green economy, and energy transition. We also agreed to enhance joint responses to transnational crimes such as online scams and cyber threats.

We look forward to opening a new chapter in bilateral agri-food trade by agreeing to export Jeju-produced pork and beef to Singapore for the first time. The signing of various MOUs in areas such as digital cooperation, green and digital shipping corridors, culture and sports, and public administration will broaden and deepen our cooperation.

I am confident that the spirit of innovation and sustainable partnership forged by Korea and Singapore will play a vital role in shaping the future of the entire global community as well as Asia.

With this, the entire schedule of the APEC Leaders' Week and related summits has come to a close. I extend my sincere gratitude to the Korean people for their support and cooperation in making this event a success. Thanks to the people's mature civic commitment and cooperation, Korea has been able to establish itself as a more trusted nation in the international community.
