오늘날 한미동맹은 군사, 경제, 첨단기술을 포함한 제반 분야에서 '미래형 포괄적 전략동맹'으로 진화하고 있으며, 미국 의회는 이 과정에서 핵심적인 역할을 하고 있습니다.

두 의원 역시 한미동맹에 대한 미국 의회의 초당적인 지지를 재확인하고, 다양한 협력 분야에서 양국 간 실질적 성과가 도출될 수 있도록 노력해 나가겠다는 의지를 밝혔습니다.

아울러 긴밀한 한미 공조를 바탕으로 한반도 평화 정착을 위한 우리 정부의 노력에 대해 적극 협력하기로 뜻 모았습니다.
